Single sign-on with your existing SAML identity provider

Overview

Restrict your HelpDocs knowledge base with SAML single sign-on so people sign in with the credentials they already use. Connect any SAML 2.0 identity provider — Okta, Azure AD, OneLogin, and more — and let their identity decide what they can see, with new accounts landing on the default role you configure.

What you can do

  • Single sign-on with your existing SAML identity provider
  • Restrict private docs to authenticated employees or customers
  • New users land on your configured default role automatically
  • Works with Okta, Azure AD, OneLogin, and any SAML 2.0 IdP

Setting it up

  1. Open Settings > Access > Options in HelpDocs
  2. Set up HelpDocs as an application in your identity provider
  3. Copy your IdP's SSO URL and certificate into HelpDocs
  4. Choose the default role for new SAML users
  5. Test the sign-in flow end to end
