Find, insert, and edit Lucidchart diagrams directly in your articles

Insert diagrams from a Lucidchart button in the article editor
Overview
Lucidchart makes diagramming straightforward, and this integration puts it inside the article editor. Click the Lucidchart button, pick a chart, and it lands in your article.
The part that usually causes trouble elsewhere is authentication: a diagram that only the author can see is worse than no diagram. HelpDocs handles that for you, so any chart you insert is immediately available to every reader, and edits you make in Lucidchart show up for them in real time.
What you can do
- Insert diagrams from a Lucidchart button in the article editor
- Authentication is handled for you, so every chart is visible to all readers
- Edit a chart from the article and jump straight to Lucidchart
- Diagram edits appear for your readers in real time
Setting it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Lucidchart in HelpDocs
- Enter your API Key and API Secret, generated in your Lucidchart account
- Open an article and click the new Lucidchart button
- Follow the prompt to your HelpDocs Profile, then under Connected apps click ☰ More > Connect next to Lucidchart
- Complete Lucidchart's authorization flow, then start inserting
Requirements
- A Lucidchart Team account is needed to set this integration up
- Each author connects their own Lucidchart account the first time they insert a chart
