Import your whole knowledge base into Voiceflow from your sitemap

Import every article from your sitemap in one data source
Overview
Voiceflowโs URL route for knowledge is the sitemap, not a root domain. That makes the sitemap every HelpDocs knowledge base publishes the thing that lets this work at all, rather than a nice-to-have.
The import includes a preview step, so you can deselect anything you would rather the agent did not read before committing. Voiceflow re-crawls periodically, so published changes find their way in.
What you can do
- Import every article from your sitemap in one data source
- Preview and deselect pages before they are added
- Periodic re-crawl keeps the agent's knowledge current
- Your sitemap is generated automatically, with nothing to enable
Setting it up
- In Voiceflow, go to CMS, then Knowledge, then Add data source
- Choose Sitemap
- Paste your sitemap URL: https://your-slug.helpdocs.io/sitemap.xml
- Review the page list in the preview step, then import
Requirements
- Your knowledge base must be public, so the crawler can read it
