Add your knowledge base to Kustomer's AI agent as a public URL source

Accepts a sitemap or a plain public URL, whichever you prefer
Overview
Kustomerโs AI agent takes public URLs as a knowledge source, and accepts both individual pages and sitemaps. The sitemap is the better input for a knowledge base, because it hands over the full article list rather than making a crawler discover it.
Kustomer frames this as an addition to knowledge you already hold, which is exactly how it tends to work in practice: your HelpDocs articles become another source the agent can draw on, without anything moving.
What you can do
- Accepts a sitemap or a plain public URL, whichever you prefer
- Sits alongside the knowledge Kustomer already holds
- Your articles stay in HelpDocs, with no migration
- The AI agent answers from documentation you maintain
Setting it up
- In Kustomer, go to AI Agent, then Knowledge sources, then Add public URLs
- Paste your sitemap URL: https://your-slug.helpdocs.io/sitemap.xml
- Or paste your knowledge base root URL if you would rather Kustomer crawl it
- Save, and check the source is listed against your agent
Requirements
- Your knowledge base must be public, so the crawler can read it
